the art of being nice

Yes I know that now and again we all have to work for difficult people, they may not think that they're being difficult but in our view they are. The tone of an email, the absence of a "Hi" or a "Thanks". Perhaps its just the way they get results, perhaps its the industry THEY are in. But some people really are truly difficult to work for. You start to recognize these types of people and learn to perhaps not respond to their emails as quick as you should and maybe drop the "have a great weekend" and possibly put another "nicer" clients jobs before them, certainly you wouldn't work a single second after 5:30 for them. Inversely some people are an absolute pleasure to work for and you would happily bend over backwards many times for them. I was always taught that politeness costs nothing but it damm sure earns a lot.
